2nd Annual HR Conference and Job Expo Opens in Accra June 24th

The second annual national Human Resource Conference and Exhibition, dubbed Brighter Futures 2011, is scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana on 24-25th June under the theme “The Role of HR in National Development”. Following last year’s maiden event organised by OML Africa, Brighter Futures 2011 is expected to attract over 100 HR professionals and leaders, 30 exhibiting firms and 5,000 jobseekers, graduates and mid-career executives.

This year’s conference recognises the ever increasing importance of HR as Ghana becomes an emerging market and continues to attract top talent from the Diaspora and the best locally. The need to equip HR leaders in Ghana with the skills to effectively manage its human capital is ever more crucial. The Brighter Futures 2011 conference is aimed at improving best practice in the HR industry whiles tapping into the knowledge of international and local career experts.

The keynote speaker at the Brighter Futures 2011 conference is Dr Cookie Govender from the Centre of Management Studies, University of Johannesburg. Other prominent speakers are Emeka Anasia (Head, Training and Development, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria); Fred Nyawade (HR Manager, Airtel Malawi) and Jonas Kofi Arhin (HR and Administrative Manager, Express Savings and Loans) among other reputable HR experts.

The Brighter Futures 2011exhibition that will run alongside the conference will bring together employers, recruitment agencies, HR service providers and software developers who will showcase their products and services to a highly targeted audience.
