"Harnessing IT Skills at the Work Place"
Prior to his employment at the London Metropolitan University (The Business School,Philip Nukpe spent nine years at the University of East London (UEL) as a Senior Lecturer, leading modules and teaching computing and Business related modules from Database Systems through Business Information Systems to Research Methods and Projects/Dissertations at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Philip is the Course Leader for MSc in Computer Systems Auditing in the Business Analysis, Information Systems, and Transport & Logistics Department.He has tremendous experience in recruitment having worked as an international recruitment officer for his department and the university as well as delivering presentations in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, etc on recruitment issues.
Philip has also held numerous computer related positions in various companies before joining UEL. Mr Nukpe holds various membership affiliations with many associations including the Institution Of Analysts and Programmers (IAP), UK ; British Computer Society (BCS), UK; and Institute of Learning and Teaching (ILTM) UK. He is also a Fellow, Higher Education Academy, UK; and an Academic Advocate with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) UK.
His Research interests include Strategic Management Information Systems,Database Development, small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), having written over two dozen conference papers in these areas.
