People,Performance,Profits


Edward Kwapong has over 26 experience in Human Resource Management and Administration, having worked with Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd, Ghana‘s Volta River Authority and is currently, General Manager, Human Resources, at Ghana Commercial Bank Limited with a staff strength of 2191.
His current job includes managing the Human Resource base of Ghana Commercial Bank with special emphasis on Manpower Planning, Information Processing and Management, Industrial Relations, Training and Development as well as Compensation and Benefits.

As an HR Consultant, Edward has provided various HR services for many reputable organisations such as UNDP in Sierra Leone, the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre; the Trust Bank of the Gambia, Ghana Institute of Directors, Ghana Health Service, etc .Edward was also a team member of Continental Consultants Ghana Limited that designed a performance management policy for Ghana’s Civil Service in 2007.

He holds Barrister at Law Degree from the Ghana School Law, a Post Graduate Certificate in Job Evaluation, Solihull College, UK, Master of Public Administration (HR option), etc

He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, the Institute of HR Management Practitioners (Ghana) and the Institute for International Research, South Africa. Edward has been a member of several boards including National Advisory Committee on Labour (Ghana), and Past Council Member, Ghana Employers’ Association as well as a Faculty Member of both the London School of Management and the Business Education Examination Council, UK.
